Pitztal and Oetztal
The holiday area Pitztal and Oetztal is located in the heart of North Tyrol.
The area with its beautiful valleys Pitztal and Oetztal ranges from 830 to 2,000 m asl. The chief city Imst has got much to offer from a cultural point of view: theatres, classical concerts and modern festivals take place beside traditional events like farmers’ markets and ceremonials organised when the cattle returns from mountain pastures.
The Gurgltal valley in this holiday area stands for intact nature, like you can experience along the popular “Adlerweg” past swooshing mountain rivers, majestic mountains and satisfied cows. However, this also means lots of action for those who dare to draw nearer to the “Alpine Coaster”. The longest alpine rollercoaster is located in the Tiroler Oberland and beside the “Knappenwelt Gurgltal” it is one of the most popular destinations in summer. And in winter months? You can look forward to an intense slope adventure in a winter wonderland…
