Felt slippers

Soft and cuddly slippers for every season of the year: A popular Tyrolean product are the felt slippers, the so-called ”Toggln”

Gloves and a hot tea... what else do you need against the cold? For your feet we recommend typical Tyrolean felt slippers made of pure new wool. Every pair of "Toggln", how these slippers are called in local dialect, are unique and are subject to strict quality checks. Felt is used to produce the whole slipper, also its inner sole and the toe cap, so that your feet are completely wrapped in felt. This makes the slippers warm, breathable, robust and shape-retaining.

Felt slippers have been produced in Tyrol for centuries. One upon a time, in the farmhouses only the "Stube" - the parlour - was heated, in all other rooms it was bitingly cold. Today, for shoe size 36 about 160 grams of wool are used, which increases by 10 to 20 grams for every additional size. They come in a wide range of colours, shapes and also with embroideries: You can buy the cosy gift ideas and souvenirs in local shops and at the Christmas Markets. To keep them clean, just brush the felt slippers with a soft brush to remove dirt and fluff, and air them to protect against unpleasant odours.
