Air Rofan

“Air Rofan” offers a special flight adventure in the Rofan mountains.

Taking the Rofan cableway from Maurach am Achensee into the beautiful world of the Rofan mountains, in the vicinity of the mountain station there is the sky glider “Air Rofan”.

It pulls daring people, secured by a rope, from the plateau up to the peak of the Gschöllkopf mountain (2,040 m asl), where there is the panoramic platform “Adlerhorst” (eyrie), an impressive structural steelwork. From this point you can return at a speed of 85 km/h, overcoming a course of 200 metres. A feeling of free flight!

The motto of the sky-gliding adventure is “fun is our goal”, in the true sense of the word. Moreover “Air Rofan” can perfectly be combined with a hike from one hut to the next in the environs of the plateau, e.g. to the Dalfaz alpine pasture, which is located one hiking hour from the mountain station of the Rofan cableway, or the platform “Adlerhorst”, which can be reached in 45 minutes.

Some general advice: There are single flight tickets and tickets in blocks of three. The minimum size is 1.30 m and the minimum age is 10 years. For children, however, there are special rates. So, have fun!
