Bergisel Ski Jump

This ski jump is an architectural highlight and represents one of the main attractions of the city of Innsbruck.

The Bergisel Ski Jump is a real architectural masterpiece, designed by the Iraqi/British world-class architect Zaha Hadid, who succeeded in combining the ski jumps as athletic venue and the café with panoramic terrace in a unique way. For this reason Zaha Hadid was awarded with the Austrian State Architecture Prize of Austria. However, the Bergisel Ski Jump has become one of the main attractions of the city of Innsbruck.

The Café located in the construction provides a uinque view on the city as well as on the Nordkette mountain range - a panorama to take one’s breath away. And in case you do not want to share this experience - in the evenings you can rent this café for coteries. Moreover there is a 360° panoramic platform, accessible for a moderate fee and for free when sports events take place. So why don’t you combine the visit to the ski jump with the Four Hills Tournament in January?

And how to access the ski jump? The sporty way is to climb the 455 steps on foot. Of course you can also use the inclined elevator! :-)

By the way: at nighttime the ski jump is illuminated and is continuously changing its colours!
