The Wake Opening kicks-off the new wakeboarding season at Area 47 in early May with an international contest. What’s best, amateurs have the opportunity to compete against international heroes.

The 2024 Wake Opening on May 04, 2024 at Area 47 Aqua Park marks the beginning of the new season with a prestigious IWWF 4* contest. This international 600-point contest will attract numerous top riders from all over the world. Last year’s event has lured 70 riders from 12 countries. The contest is open to all ages and abilities, from novices over recreational to pros. Qualifying rounds will take place on Friday, leading the way to the showdown on Saturday.

Moreover, there will be a massive expo area where visitors can demo the latest gear and equipment of the leading names in water sports on Thursday and Sunday. Feel free to test your balance on the slackline or simply sit and watch the hustle and bustle on the water in amazement from the Wake Café. Bring your energy!
