Two Country Skiarena

The Two Country Skiarena with its six skiing areas stretches from Nauders in North Tyrol to Solda in South Tyrol.

The Two Country Skiarena (Zwei Länder Skiarena) with its 211 km of ski slopes and 52 lift facilities is a transnational skiing region which offers varied ski slopes ranging from 1,394 m to 3,250 m a.s.l. (Solda Glacier). Majestic mountains of three thousand metres and more in the border triangle Italy, Austria and Switzerland tower above this skiing region, among them Mt. Cevedale, “King Ortles”, Mt. Gran Zebrù and Mt. Palla Bianca.

Any way, the six skiing areas in the surroundings of the Passo Resia pass - Nauders (North Tyrol, Austria) and Solda, Trafoi, Watles, Belpiano, Malga San Valentino (South Tyrol, Italy) - offer all your heart desires and not only those who love skiing, but also snowboarders will be totally satisfied. Treeless summit slopes, plain terrain for beginners, up to 9 km long valley runs and challenging moguls slopes, excellent ski schools and funny kids’ parks, cosy ski hut and a glacial skiing area - that’s what you will have to face in the Two Country Skiarena. All skiing areas are accessible with one ski pass only, the “zweiländer skiarena Ticket”.

The Bergkastel skiing area in Nauders extends on the 2,912 m high Bergkastelspitze peak and the Tscheyeck and Gueserkopf mountains in the Oetztal Alps. It offers 75 km of well-groomed ski slopes and a total of 13 lift facilities. Nauders was rewarded with the seal of quality for its slopes, its cross-country ski tracks and, as first skiing area, its tobogganing runs by the state of Tyrol. One of the five toboggan runs is the 8 km long Bergkastel run, one of the longest toboggan runs in Tyrol. Snowboarders, however, will be attracted by the recently extended boardercross run and the Snowpark Nauders Familypark. And for freeriders, there are five routes in powder snow, three of them are the South West Route, the Down Under and the Border Route.
