Hike from Ginzling to the Oberbödenalm alp

This hike leads through the forests of Ginzling in the Zemmtal, a side valley of the Zillertal, to the Oberböden Mountain Hut, with view on the steep peaks of the Floitenkamm crest

Away from the hustle and bustle of the busy destinations in the Zillertal valley and yet easily accessible, the village of Ginzling is idyllically located in the Zemmtal valley, surrounded by rugged mountain peaks. No mountain railways, no main roads, no adventure parks and adventure worlds await us on this hike, but only forests, meadows and the view on the main Alpine ridge. Starting point is the bus stop next to the Zillertal Alps Nature Park House in Ginzling.

We cross the Zemmbach brook, walk to the church and follow then path no. 7, which leads us to the forest and after a steeper section crosses the road to Innerböden. Here we have the choice to follow the road or the steeper but shorter paths through the forest. Past the former Innerböden tavern we continue on a gravel road to the Oberböden Mountain Hut (Oberbödenalm). From there we enjoy a gorgeous view on the Zillertal Mountains, from the Dristner via the Floitenkamm ridge to Kellerkopf and Kellerspitze. Attention: As long as the Innerböden tavern is closed, there is no catering on this hike (except at the starting point), so we recommend to bring food and drink.
