The new Tyrolean Bee World with museum and apitherapy can be found in Schwoich am Wilden Kaiser.
Located in an extraordinary scenery in a 400 year old farmhouse in Söll, there was a very special apiary until June 2014, when a fire completely destroyed the beautiful old farmhouse. The apiary and the museum provided interesting information about the work with bee colonies as well as traditional Tyrolean agriculture, that is closely linked with honey production.
After years of planning and hard work, a new site has been set up in Schwoich am Wilden Kaiser, only a few km away from the old farmhouse. Today, there's the museum and the apitherapy of the Tyrolean Bee World (Tiroler Bienenwelt). This 1st Austrian Apitherapy Competence Centre offers e.g. therapies to strengthen the immune system, sleep therapy, and intensive treatment.
The museum with the Heinrich Hüttner adventure beekeeping, however, shows you a bee colony, a naturopathy archive, a giant show beehive, and a beehive in a sequoia. The products of the Bee World - a range of 350 - are available at the shop which completes the museum experience.
The Tyrolean Bee World will remain closed in 2020.
