Located in an extraordinary scenery in a 400 year old farmhouse in Bocking/Söll, at the foot of the Wilder Kaiser mountain chain, there was a very special apiary until June 2014, when a fire destroyed the beautiful old farmhouse. The apiary and the museum provided interesting information about the work with bee colonies as well as traditional Tyrolean agriculture, that is closely linked with honey production.
After years of planning and reconstruction work, a new site for administration and research of the non-profit association "Tiroler Bienenwelt" (Tyrolean Bee World) has been set up in Schwoich, only a few km away from the old farmhouse. Since 2018, there is also a naturopaths practice with doctor and specialist offering apitherapy, where you can inhale the healthy bee and bee-hive air.
The museum with the Heinrich Hüttner adventure beekeeping shows in Schwoich the secrets of a bee colony, a naturopathy archive, a giant show beehive as well as a beehive in a sequoia. Meanwhile, the products of the Tyrolean Bee World can be found in Söll, at the City Centre of Wörgl, at the "Kiss" shopping mall in Kufstein, and every Friday at the Kufstein market of delights (Kufsteiner Genussmarkt). Delve into the world of bees!
