Ski region Zillertal Arena
The large snow and fun arena of the Zillertal valley offers ski fun on 166 km of ski slopes.
The Zillertal Arena is one of the largest and most modern skiing areas of Austria and includes the localities of Zell and Gerlos on Tyrolean territory as well as Königsleiten, Wald and Krimml in Salzburg. In this skiing area you are really spoilt for choice. Snowboarders love the Arena Hot-Zone Snowpark with halfpipe in Gerlos, while speedy racers will enjoy the five permanent race tracks, where they can challenge the record. By the way, did you know that the Zillertal Arena has been declared “best skiing area of the Alps” by the international ski arena test 2010/11?
The special ski pass and the super ski pass also provides access to the skiing area Wildkogel in Neukirchen am Grossvenediger. Moreover there is a free shuttle service between Wald, Neukirchen, Krimml and Königsleiten for all those who are in possession of a valid ski pass. Also for children the Zillertal Arena is a great place! Fabulous slopes for children as well as a special children’s programme, a pick up service for children and snow-rafting make children’s holidays even more varied. Fed up with skiing? Then we recommend you either one the four ice skating grounds in the surroundings, or tobogganing. Moreover, at the Zillertal Arena/Zell, there is the Arena Coaster.
