The Glungezer is a small but mighty skiing area, perfect both for beginners as well as for advanced skiers. At the foot of the Glungezer, there is the little village Tulfes, located at 992 m asl. Well groomed ski slopes in sunny location and a great view on the Inntal valley and Nordkette mountain chain, that’s what is going to expect you in the Glungezer skiing area, located only a stone’s throw from Innsbruck.
Of course one of the highlights of the skiing area is the 15 km long run, which is also the longest throughout Tyrol. You will break sweat… By the way: despite of being a skiing area, Glungezer mountain is also perfectly suitable for those who love ski mountaineering, as there are several ways to scale the Glungezer on skis. Choose your starting point and scale the top of the Glungezer mountain. By the way: the Glungezer skiing area is part of the Olympia SkiWorld Innsbruck, a ski carousel made up of 9 skiing areas!
