Above Tösens, there is the entirely coloured St. George Church, which was enlarged in the 15th century

Tösens is a picturesque little village in the Oberinntal valley, and for this reason a perfect place for those who seek relaxation. Besides the main village, there are also some hamlets and a part of Mariastein belonging to the municipality. On a meadow above the village rises the St. George Chapel, which is famous for its frescoes which cover completely the inside of the building.
Opposite Tösens, however, there is an old stone arch bridge which is known as "Römerbrücke", that's to say Roman bridge. It is probably the oldest preserved bridge of Tyrol and was established in the Middle Ages in Roman construction style. A small road led across the bridge to the village of Serfaus. In summer, cyclists and mountain bikers are increasingly attracted by the surrounding mountains, its lovely mountain lakes and the vast trail network. If you seek the thrill, you may do an exciting rafting tour through the impressive Tösens Gorge.
In winter, the surroundings provide skiing areas such as the Kaunertal Glacier, Fendels, Nauders and Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis, which include also toboggan runs and cross-country ski trails. Especially popular among cross-country skiers is the Hubertusloipe, a high-altitude trail in Kaunerberg.
