Hopfgarten is located at the foot of the Hohe Salve mountain in the beautiful Brixental valley. Hopfgarten im Brixental (see pic) includes a surface of 166.55 sqkm and is thus one of the largest municipalities of Tyrol. The village belongs to the holiday area Hohe Salve and offers numerous leisure time facilities like beach volley court, summer sledge track, tennis courts and tennis hall. And the theme park Salvenaland with bathing lake does not only make children’s hearts leap for joy. Moreover you can try hang-gliding, ballooning, canyoning, rafting, canoeing and kayaking in the surroundings of Hopfgarten im Brixental.
Winter in Hopfgarten stands for skiing and snowboarding in the SkiWorld Wilder Kaiser-Brixental valley. Moreover the surroundings are ideal for ice skating, snowshoeing and ski touring.
Our tip: Symbol of Hopfgarten im Brixental is the twin-towered Baroque parish church, which has been built between 1759 and 1764 and dedicated to Saint Jacob and Leonhard. Hopfgarten is also crossed by narrow, plastered alleys.
