Bad Häring
The former miners’ village of Bad Häring today is a famous spa town.

Bad Häring and its localities Dorf, Osterndorf and Schönau extend on a high plateau between Wörgl and Kufstein. In the 19th and 20th century, for about 100 years, brown coal has been exploited, and in the course of time Bad Häring has become a popular health spa. Both branches are depicted on the emblem of the village: the two crossed golden hammers represent brown coal mining, whereas the two blue cans are a symbol for the spa town.
In 1951 a sulfureous and health-promoting spring was found, to which the German byname of the village - “Bad” - can be referred to. In 1996 Bad Häring has been declared spa town. Its water is beneficial for the treatment of diseases of the locomotor system, rheumatic disorders, joint and vessel damages as well as vertebral injuries. The health and spa centre includes 500 sqm of water area with two indoor pools and an outdoor pool. The therapeutical area includes 3,300 sqm an comprises the only cryotherapy room of Austria (-110° C), as well as a massage department with 22 therapy rooms.
Particularly popular is the outdoor swimming pool of Bad Häring, including three pools as well as three water slides and a wellness island with whirlpool. In addition, the Haslacher Moor is located only 10 minutes from the village. In this place you can admire plants such as fleur de lis and the carnivorous sundew. A real natural gem! In the village itself, there is a vivarium with fallow deer. In winter, however, only 6 km from the village, there is the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental, which has been declared “best international skiing area 2006/2007″ by the Ski Resort-Service-International. A free ski shuttle takes you there. Those who prefer staying in the village might enjoy ice skating, cross-country skiing along 25 km of trails or hiking along the great winter hiking trails.
Our recommendation: particularly worth to be visited is the parish church dedicated to John the Baptist, patron saint of the woodland solitude. Inside this church you can admire a Rokolo baldachin with two Renaissance angels on the sides, carrying candlesticks.
