Where the Spertental valley enters the Brixental valley, there is the holiday resort Kirchberg in Tirol and its “Vital Arena”: About 88 km of nordic-walking and hiking trails take you into the world of mountains. Enjoy hiking to the Auerhochalm, Bärstättalm, Gauxerbauer or Seeholz mountain pastures and looking down on Kitzbühel which extends at your feet. However, after an exhausting hike you should stop off at one of the restaurants in Kirchberg in Tirol to taste local delicacies!

Since recently Kirchberg in Tirol (see pic) also disposes of the Kneipp facility Aschau in the Spertental valley, a natural reserve. Surrounded by a unique panorama, Aschau offers a classical Kneipp facility, a drinking fountain with spring water, a facility for foot reflexology as well as an arm and circulation basin…

In winters with lots of snow, in Kirchberg in Tirol winter dreams come true. Above all rides with sleighs drawn by horses are very popular. However, Kitzbühel is located in the heart of the skiing area, which is directly connected with the SkiWorld Wilder Kaiser-Brixental valley. Only the skiing area Kitzbühel offers already some 148 km of ski slopes. Also nighttime skiing is possible at the Gaisberg ski slope.

Our tip: Popular photo motifs are the parish church Gaisberg, which is particularly beautiful when the mountain peaks are snow-capped; and from a cultural point of view the “Antlassritt”, a Christian procession on horseback, which takes place every year at Corpus Christi.
