Spending holidays in the heart of the Kitzbühel Alps means swimming, hiking and playing minigolf. The Alpenrosen Cable Car takes you from the village to the Choralpe mountain pasture at approx. 1,770 m a.s.l., where the interactive Alpinolino Adventure Park can be found. There's much to discover on its theme paths, during the Marmot Rally and at the Flight School with Bert, the eagle. A more challenging hike leads on the Waterfall Path to the idyllic Kreuzjöchlsee lake.
During the cold months of the year, however, winter sports start in the valley, that's to say on the cross-country ski tracks Unterdorf, Camping and Westendorf-Brixen, and continue in the mountains. From Westendorf, you can comfortably and directly reach the SkiWorld Wilder Kaiser-Brixental, one of the largest skiing areas of Austria, and the 7.5 km long toboggan run Talkaser-Schrandlhof. Until some years ago, Westendorf was also the venue for the famous annual "Jump & Freeze", in which daring people try to leap over a water basin with home-made vehicles.
