Local public transport

Even without your own car you can discover North and East Tyrol both simply and conveniently

If you want to discover Tyrol and its sights in a simple and convenient way, without any annoying search for a parking space, then you are right here. The Tyrol Transportation Authority (VVT) exists since 1995 and its offer has been expanded by 60% since then.

Some interesting details about the history: In 2011 the VVT and the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) implemented a costless park+ride ticket at 19 railway stations in Tyrol for the first time. In 2015 the nightliner by rail followed, which stops between Kufstein and Innsbruck during the night on weekends and bank holidays. Recently the bus, train and tram ticket app has been realised.

The VVT provides different tickets: single fare and daily tickets, weekly and monthly tickets, special tickets for seniors, young, families, students and much more. The tickets can be bought at the ticket machines, in the railway stations, in the vehicles and at the booking offices: the timetables.
