Fairytale Week in the Stubaital valley

Witches, faeries and forest spirits paint the Stubaital valley red from August 2 to 6, 2010.

A particular highlight for families is offered in the beautiful Stubaital valley: The Stubaital Fairytale Week is also going to take place this year! Every day there are various events taking place in another hiking area of the valley. Below you can find an overview:

Day of the forest spirits at the Elfer mountain
During a torchlight hike at the Elfer mountain, participants will meet the mystical forest spirits, attracting attention with wind chimes and light reflexes.

King Serles is made alive
In a camp-fire in the hiking area of the Serles mountain the legend of the knight Serles is told. You will get to know how it came that the knight, together with his sons, was fossilized for his outrages.

Taking part in the improvisation theatre at Schlick 2000
On the nature and barefoot trail in the hiking area “Schlick 2000″ fairytales are told. Both adults and kids are warmly invited to partecipate!

Retracing the “Saligen Fräulein”
On the glacier trail at the Stubai Glacier, sagas and myths are told, including also the legend of the famous “Saligen Fräulein”, who reigned in the largest glacial skiing area of Austria.

Fire-hopping with the witch of the Stubaital valley
At the water playground, starting point of the “Wildes Wasser” trail, the witch of the Stubaital valley tells stories and myths about happenings of the past. A very special conclusion of the Fairytale Week!
