International Ötztal Cycle Marathon 2008

The starting signal for the Ötztal Cycle Marathon 2008 takes place in Sölden.

From August 29 to 31, the yearly highlight for the best hobby-cyclists of the world takes place in Sölden, the International Ötztal Cycle Marathon with start and arrival in Sölden, which represents one of the greatest challenges for every cyclist.

Participants have to overcome 238 km and 5,500 m of altitude difference, of course as fast as possible. The route takes athletes across four alpine passes: Kühtai, Brennero, Passo Giovo and Passo del Rombo. However, this race is not only a spectacle for participants from 33 nations, but also for those who would like to watch this sports event!

Morevoer there is a bike exhibition called “Sattelfest” (saddle fast), a Barilla Noodle Party as well as a new cabaret programme by Tom Zabel, a concert of the music group Sölden and much more…
