Below you can find useful information on camping in Tyrol.

In North and East Tyrol there are several great campsites, inviting you to spend comfortable holidays in the heart of mountains. Waking up in great natural landscape, drinking a coffee in front of the camper or tent and just doing what you would like to do. Great! :-)

Campers are warmly welcome in Tyrol, but we recommend you to book the campsite already in advance. Please note that camping outside the campsites is not allowed in Tyrol! So be careful that you don’t start your holidays with a money fine…

By the way: On Austrian motorways there is no special badge for campers, as the “Vignette” of the towing vehicle is valid. Campervans up to 3.5 tons pay the normal tarif for vehilces, all vehicles exceeding this weight will be charged a chilometre-dependant fee.
