16th Film Festival St. Anton am Arlberg

From August 24 to 28, St. Anton is again in the centre of attention of those who passionately love mountains and movies.

Again this year, from August 24 to 28, the “Arlberg-well.com” centre is venue for the traditional Film Festival, which is going to attract several internationally famous climbers. Bruno Baumann, the famous adventurer, Klilian Fischhuber, the successful junior climber, as well as top freeriders and snowboarders such as Stefan Häusl and Mitch Tödler and many more athletes are going to participate in this festival.

The movies show for instance the Tyrolean climbers Much Mayr and Hansjörg Auer, climbing in Oman, particular base jump adventures of the Czech movie “Knocking on Heaven’s Door” and athletic peak performances despite of disease or handicaps such as in the movie “To the Rainbow” (see pic).

By the way: In the frame of the Film Festival St. Anton am Arlberg, there are also climbing workshops. The world’s best boulderers such as Bernd Zangerl are going to offer workshops at the famous fixed rope route of the Arlberg or in the “arl.rock”, you can climb with Beat Kammerlander as well as with the ice climbing champion Markus Bendler. Indulge yourselves in the world of climbing and movies!
