Lake Reintaler

Lake Reintaler is the largest lake in the so-called “Kramsacher Seengebiet” area.

Lake Reintaler, characterised by a turquoise-green colour, is one of the lakes in the surroundings of Kramsach in the holiday area of Kufstein. It is fed by Lake Berglsteiner, located above, while its effluent feeds Lake Krummsee. Lake Reintaler can be reached from Kramsach, following the respective signs. This street first takes past Lake Krummsee and then to the parking space at the end of Lake Reintaler, which is subject to charge. Also means of public transport operate on this course.

In summer the water temperatures rise up to 25 degrees C, which results in the lake to be one of the warmest lakes of Tyrol. Of course it also attracts a large number of visitors for bathing! The bathing ticket makes you access various lawns round the lake. However, there are not only lawns for sunbathing, but also a children’s playground at the western lakeside, and restaurants and cafés as well as a nude beach. Moreover there are fishermen fishing carps, pikes, eels, wels-catfish, zander and various other whitefish. Tickets for fishing are available in the restaurant Fischerstube, which also offers a boat rental. Please note that diving and private boats (except children’s rubber rafts) are not allowed.

There is by the way a pleasant walking trail round Lake Reintaler, which takes you about one hour. If you would like to extend your walk, you can proceed past the camping located directly at the lakeside. Along the edge of the forest you reach the Tyrolean Farmhouse Museum in the east of the lake, which is an open air museum with 14 farmsteads of all parts of Tyrol. To return, take the bus or walk along the trail at the lakeside.
