Hiking trail seal of quality
Tyrol awards the hiking trail seal of quality for special efforts regarding security on the mountain and extraordinary beauty of nature.
The Tyrolean hiking trail seal of quality has been founded in 1984 and since this year numerous tourist boards and associations have been awarded with this quality seal. To clarify, the Tyroleran seal is awarded for efforts regarding security on the mountain. Awarded mountain trails are also well signposted, illustrated and mantained. If you hike on one of the awarded trails you can expect a fantastic path meeting your demands. However, the seal of approval is not everlasting, but it has to be renewed every five years. Moreover the seal can also be awarded for extraordinary beauty of nature and landscape, panoramic views, flora and fauna.
However, on the awarded trails hikers are accompanied by new yellow sign postings, which are also visible in case of fog and bad weather. These sign postings inform hikers about direction, difficulty of the hike, destination, path number and walking time.
A great deal of trails have been awarded and below you can find a selection. Enjoy hiking on Tyrolean high quality hiking paths.
