Lake Krummsee

One of the warmest lakes for bathing in Tyrol is the Krummsee with its freely accessible lawns for sunbathing

Lake Krummsee is one of the lakes in the surroundings of Kramsach, belonging to the "Kramsach Lake Area" or "Reintal Lake Area", defining a region that is rich in lakes. Like Lake Reintal, it can be found in a little side valley. In the south of the Krummsee, there is the Buchsee, in the west the Frauensee and above, in a rather hidden position, Lake Berglsteiner.

In summer, Lake Krummsee is a popular lake for bathing, boasting a depth of approximately 2.5 metres. As the waters reach a temperature of 25 degrees C, it is considered to be one of the warmest lakes for bathing in Tyrol. A treat for your palate is the restaurant, while facilities such as two lawns, the diving platform, the fitting rooms and the toilets are freely accessible.

What is also recommendable is to rent a pedalo, another way to experience the surroundings. As the Krummsee is located at the foot of the Rofan Mountains, it is a popular rest place during a bike tour or during a hike, such as when you scale the 2,300 m high summits of the mountain group.
